So, my mom and sister are living in El Salvador, and they had never visited Canada. I decided to convince them to come here and see where I live, and how my new life is treating me. My mom is a very demure woman and she doesn't like to travel but this time I had convinced her to come see me. My sister on the other hand is a very adventurous person and likes to go out and travel. So it wasn't a problem to convince her.
To begin my story I will tell you that their flight arrived December 22, 2012 and they departed January 1, 2013. That means we didn't have that much time together as they couldn't get more days off work.
When my Mom got off the plane she was immediately delighted with the airport. They arrived around 9:00 pm and once I picked them up and we left the airport it was quite cold and my mom had never experienced such cold temperatures. However, I've never seen her so excited about the weather.
Before they came to Canada I had created an itinerary of all the things we were going to do and the places we were going to visit. These locations were Blue Mountain, CN Tower, and Niagara Falls. I wanted my family to experience a Canadian Christmas and so they absolutely did.
My mom still says that it has been the best vacation of her life and she cannot wait to come back and visit again.
It was the best Christmas I've had since I came to Canada, she was my little piece of home in the frigid cold month of December.
